Scam Warning

How to Spot Recruitment Scams — And How to Verify Us

Recruitment fraud is one of the most damaging crimes targeting workers seeking legal employment in Europe. Thousands of people lose their savings every year to scammers posing as legitimate agencies — promises of work permits that never arrive, jobs that don't exist, and documents that are worthless forgeries. Understanding the warning signs can protect you and your family.

Red Flags — Warning Signs of a Scam

Scam alert warning01

Payments to Personal Bank Accounts

Legitimate agencies collect fees into registered business accounts. If you are asked to send money to an individual's personal account, mobile money number, or cash app — stop immediately. This is the single most common indicator of fraud.

Scam alert warning02

No Physical Office You Can Visit

Scammers operate entirely online because they have no real office. If an agency cannot give you a physical address where you can meet them in person or verify independently, treat them as fraudulent.

Scam alert warning03

No License or Registration Number

In Poland, legitimate recruitment agencies must be registered in the KRAZ national registry. If an agency cannot provide a verifiable KRAZ registration number — or equivalent license in another country — they are not operating legally.

Scam alert warning04

High-Pressure Tactics and Artificial Urgency

'This offer expires in 24 hours.' 'We only have 2 spots left.' 'If you don't pay now, we can't hold your place.' Legitimate agencies do not use pressure tactics. These phrases are designed to stop you from thinking clearly or doing research.

Scam alert warning05

Unrealistically High Salaries

If you are being promised EUR 3,000–5,000 per month for unskilled or semi-skilled work, the numbers are fabricated. Real salaries for foreign workers in Poland average EUR 1,100–1,800 per month. Inflated promises are bait.

Scam alert warning06

No Written Contract Before Payment

Legitimate agencies provide written service agreements and employment contracts before requesting any fees. If you are asked to pay before receiving any documentation in writing, walk away.

Scam alert warning07

Social Media Only — No Real Web Presence

Many scam operations run entirely from Facebook or WhatsApp with no professional website, no verifiable business address, and no registration. Social media presence alone is not proof of legitimacy.

Scam alert warning08

No Receipts for Payments Made

Every legitimate payment should generate an official receipt from a registered business with the company name, registration number, and breakdown of charges. If you cannot get a proper receipt, you are dealing with a scammer.
