Success Stories
Real stories from workers who started a new life in Europe through World Wide Services. These are their words.
โI won't lie, the waiting almost killed me. Five months from application to landing in Wrocลaw. After the embassy interview I was checking my phone every hour like a madman. But WWS kept updating me, even when the update was 'still processing.' That honesty kept me calm. Now I'm here, earning about โฌ1,400 net. I send money home every month. Thank God for this opportunity. The cold here is something else sha, but you adapt.โ
โI was scared honestly. A woman travelling alone to Poland โ my mother cried, my pastor prayed for me. But the WWS team in Abuja walked me through every single step. The paperwork took about 4 and a half months, which felt long. When I finally got the visa stamp I screamed in the embassy parking lot. The apartment they arranged is small but clean. I share with one girl from Kenya. We cook together now. God is faithful.โ
โI applied in April, got to Szczecin in September. I can boldly say the process worked, but communication could have been better โ sometimes I'd wait days for a reply and start thinking they forgot about me. They didn't. It all worked out. The factory is fine, Polish colleagues are quiet but friendly once they know you. My salary is around โฌ1,350 after tax. Compared to the hustle in Lagos, this is peace of mind.โ
โFourth month in Warsaw now. The construction site is cold and loud but the money is serious โ โฌ1,500 clean after tax. I share a flat with two other Nigerians from different agencies. They paid more than me for worse service honestly. The only thing that got me nervous was the long wait after the embassy, about 6 weeks of just silence. But it came through. I can boldly tell anyone โ if you're patient, it works. I have even referred my cousin already.โ
โMy sister came through WWS first, then I applied. Her experience made me trust the process. Still, 4 months of waiting felt like forever โ I was praying every day. Krakรณw is beautiful, old city, lots of tourists. My job is repetitive but the overtime pays well. I'm saving for my husband's application now. God willing, he joins me next year. My people back home couldn't believe I actually made it.โ
โAs for me, I will be honest โ the process took longer than expected. They said 3-4 months, it ended up being closer to 5. Embassy delays, not really WWS fault, but still frustrating. I almost gave up at one point. My advisor convinced me to wait. By God's grace, it came through. The factory job is stable, accommodation was arranged, and the pay is consistent. It's not a get-rich-quick thing, but it's real and legal. I didn't regret it.โ
โI sold my car to pay for the process. Big risk, my family was worried. But by God's grace, Katowice is good โ the warehouse pays regularly, never late. They treat you with respect here, that matters to me. The food is heavy, lots of potatoes. I miss jollof but I found one African shop. Process was about 4 months. My advice: prepare your documents early, don't wait for them to ask you.โ
โI give thanks to God I am here, but let me be frank โ I expected to start working faster. The visa took almost 5 months. I was already losing hope and asking for my money back when the approval came. I wish I was told from the beginning that it could take this long. But now I'm here in Gdynia, the factory is clean, the work is okay. They guided me through everything. The result was worth every cedi I spent.โ
โFrankly speaking, Albania was not my first choice โ I wanted Poland like everyone else. But WWS suggested Albania because it's faster. They were right, the whole process was 7 weeks. I had tried two other agencies before that didn't deliver, so I was anxious. But WWS was different. Tirana is actually nice, much warmer than Poland. The hotel staff are kind. Albanian language is impossible though โ I'm still pointing at things. But they pay on time.โ
โI must say, Albania is cheaper than Poland and the process is much faster โ I was here in 6 weeks. Durrรซs is by the sea, it reminds me of Mombasa a bit. The hotel I clean at is tourist season work so it gets busy in summer. Winter is quiet but they still keep me. Kudos to the WWS team for suggesting this route. The Albanian people are warm, much friendlier than I expected. It has been a worthwhile experience.โ
โSerbia wasn't even on my radar before WWS told me about it! The processing was super fast โ around 3 weeks for the work permit. I couldn't believe it. Coming from the Philippines, I expected months of waiting like when you apply for Saudi. Novi Sad is a calm city, good for saving money. Not much nightlife but I'm here to work for my family naman. My kabayan back home are now asking me how to apply. Highly recommended!โ
โI worked in Saudi and Qatar for 7 years, so I know what agencies are like. WWS is way better. No hidden fees, no last-minute changes to the contract. Serbia is super different from the Middle East โ people here are relaxed, food is heavy but good. My contract is exactly what they showed me during the online meeting. That's rare in this industry. God is good โ I finally found a country where I keep my own passport.โ
โI was in Dubai for 4 years before this. WWS offered Albania โ I had to Google where it is honestly! But the visa was fast, around 5 weeks. The hotel is beachside, work is fixing things โ AC units, plumbing. Not hard. Pay is lower than Dubai but cost of living is also much lower. I actually save more here. No kafala system, I keep my passport. Super worth it for any OFW tired of the Gulf. I'm so grateful!โ
โMyself Harpreet, I am from Delhi. I would like to share my experience. The process took about 4 months with all the paperwork โ not the fastest but hassle-free overall. I am in Gdaลsk now, near the sea. The work is physical but manageable. I send about โฌ800 home every month, which is more than my whole salary was in Delhi. I wish the initial communication was quicker, that is my only complaint. Once the process started everything went smoothly. I am satisfied.โ
โI am from Punjab. Many agents there are promising Europe but they take your money and disappear. My cousin warned me, but I checked WWS registration online โ KRS number, real office in Szczecin. That convinced me. Process took 4 months, each and every step was guided properly. Bydgoszcz is small and cold but peaceful. The factory is having Indian workers too so we are cooking dal in the hostel kitchen together. Cent percent genuine company.โ
โAlhamdulillah, I am now working in Poland. Farm work is tough but I grew up doing it in Sylhet, so it's nothing new. The difference is the pay โ here I am earning in one month what took three months back home. The process with WWS was around 5 months. My advisor called me regularly which was very good. The accommodation is simple, on the farm itself, but comfortable enough. Other Bangladeshi brothers work here too so I don't feel alone. My family is very happy now.โ
โThe meat factory is hard work โ cold rooms, long shifts. But I knew what I was signing up for. WWS cooperated with me properly, they were upfront about the job type during the online meeting. No surprises. Process from Dhaka was about 5 months. My complaint is small โ the accommodation is far from any shop, I am needing a bicycle. But the salary is real, โฌ1,300 net, and Alhamdulillah I already paid back my family loan. I am very much satisfied.โ
โAlhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah I am working in a greenhouse growing tomatoes and peppers. It is reminding me of home but with better equipment. Polish winter in the greenhouse is actually warm. The process was long โ almost 6 months because my documents needed extra verification. But the management kept following up, they cooperated a lot. Now I have been here almost one year. I am earning a handsome salary. My wife is also applying through WWS now, for a cleaning position. I recommend them to all my Bangladeshi brothers.โ
